THE Q AGENCY has launched a new research centre dedicated to the Quaternary and Quinary Sectors. The centre supports a portfolio of innovative, high-impact research and analysis, creates a clearinghouse to help coordinate related efforts, develops cutting-edge technologies and collaborates with organisations dedicated to advancing sectors of economy.
Fundamental Research
Fundamental research or basic research advances fundamental knowledge about the Quaternary and Quinary Sectors of Economy. It focuses on refuting or supporting theories that explain observed phenomena and is the source of most new scientific ideas and ways of thinking about The Q Sectors.
Applied Research
Applied research is a form of systematic inquiry involving the practical application of science. Applied research is contrasted with basic research in discussion about research ideals, methodologies, programs, and projects and deals with solving practical problems and generally employs empirical methodologies.
Development Research
Development Research is a set of strategic, proactive, catalytic, and capacity-building activities designed to facilitate our Research Centre in attracting extramural research funding, creating relationships, and developing and implementing strategies that increase institutional competitiveness.
